There are many local traditional products in the island. You can buy honey from thyme which grows in Dragano and Athani, avgotaracho from laggoon’s ivari, white and red wine, traditional ladopitta (oil pie), ladokouloura (oil rolls), olive oil and lentils. Very famous products are salami and sausage which are produced locally for many decades.

Popular traditional sweets are pasteli and mantolato. Karya’s needleworks, well known as “ Karsaniki velonia” are exquisite with a special artistry compared with any other place in Greece. It is art created exclusively from the women of Karya.
